I read this recently on a blog post, and I felt sad that the author felt that way, because it means that he is blaming a God he does not believe in for the suffering caused by sin.  It shows that the God he denies is not known to him – a conundrum I believe that would be called. It’s saying “If God is a God of love, why is there still suffering in the world”?

God is indeed a God of love – but He is also a God who demands obedience.  The Bible tells us that “God so loved THE WORLD (i.e everyone) that He GAVE His only begotten Son” to save the world from sin!  THAT is love! But that love requires something of us too. Belief and obedience.

God is not the author of suffering – the Bible tells us that He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to the saving knowledge of eternal life in Y’shua Ha Mashiach.  

In short, suffering in this world is not God’s “fault” or demonstrates a lack of caring or love on God’s part – it simply means that God allows us free will.  We are free to choose to live His way, or follow the ways of the world.  If we follow the ways of the world – which the Devil is very happy for us to do – we will have pain and suffering.  Many bad things will happen! The Devil is the author of every bad and evil thing in this world!   We have the Devil to show us evil, and we have God to show us goodness and purity – BUT we must choose.

God created us all to have communion with Him, to love and serve Him.  The Bible tells us the first commandment is to “Love the Lord your God” and to serve only Him.  If you refuse God and the eternal life He offers you, then you have chosen a path of evil. There are only two choices – Good or Evil.

If you say you cannot believe in God because of the evil you see in the world, you have not known the love of God. The Bible tells us quite clearly that the Devil is currently “roaming about seeking whom he may destroy” in this world – that is the cause of the evil you see!   But God stands ready to receive you – the minute you turn to Him in faith, confess your sins, and ask, nay beg, for forgiveness in true and heart felt repentance for your sins.  The greatest sin is not believing in Y’shua whom God sent to be a sacrifice for the sins of the world.  This is the sin that will never allow you into heaven! Unbelief! These are not my words, they are the teachings of the Holy Bible.

How do you find Y’shua? How do you know God?  You read His Word – the Bible and ask God to reveal Himself to you – when you ask in faith, nothing wavering – He will!

Repent from your sins – especially that you have not believed in the Son of God – Y’shua (called Jesus by some) that you have not believed that He came to the earth in the form of a man, though fully God, and died on the cross for the sins of you and the whole world. That He rose from the dead on the third day, was seen by many witnesses, and ascended into Heaven, to sit at the right hand of God and make intercession for us!  The Bible tells us there is no other way to be saved from the coming wrath of God upon the whole world. ONLY belief and obedience to Y’shua will save you!

When you believe, confess and receive Y’shua into your life, He will give you the Holy Spirit to live within you.  The Holy Spirit, the Bible tells us, will lead us into all truth, and teach us God’s ways.  He is the power we need to live a life pleasing to God, there is no other way!

Grab yourself a King James Version of the Bible and find out if what I say is true!  If it is, then do as I say, repent and believe and receive the gift of eternal life. If you do not find what I say within the pages of the Bible, I am sorry I have not explained clearly enough!
