Let us first make a distinction – the TRUE church NEVER had anything to do with this festival. It still does not!

The Catholic church integrated this festival, as they did many other Pagan festivals and activities, but it is NOT celebrated by true Believers. The Scripture is very clear about our relationship with those who have gone before us, and of speaking with the dead. Very clear!

If you are a follower of Jesus, this whole ridiculous dressing up as the dead, etc should set alarm bells screaming in your head!

What Mother dresses her child up as a dead child to go knocking on doors to get sweets? Are you not thinking about this? Aside from the obvious risk of your child thinking it’s OK to go and knock on strangers doors and ask for sweets, what about the person behind that door? What if she is a young Mum who recently had a baby pass away, or a child pass away? Or a child gravely ill? Here are your healthy children, made up to look like they are dead! How would that make anyone feel?

Oh I hear you say “It’s just a bit of fun” – really? Fun? To dress up and put on makeup to make yourself and your children look dead? Seriously?

Please stand against this thoughtless and cruel stupidity! Be the family that does NOT celebrate! Be the family that honors God – not the devil.
